The first step is a free 15-minute consultation call. You can book directly through the button on this page, fill out the contact form, or email me at therapybymolly@gmail.com I typically respond within 1-2 business days and will get back to you to schedule a time that works.
-
It's a low-pressure conversation — no commitment required. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and whether working together feels like the right fit. I'll also answer any questions you have about my approach, fees, or scheduling. At the end of the call we'll either book your first session or I'll do my best to connect you with someone who might be a better match.
-
My current session fee is $200 for a 50-minute individual therapy session. I accept credit/debit card and request to have your card on file to charge after our session.
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. Please don't hesitate to bring this up — I'd rather have an honest conversation about fees than have cost be a barrier to getting support.
-
I am currently out-of-network with insurance providers, which means I don't bill insurance directly. However if you have a PPO plan you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits to get partial reimbursement for sessions.
After each session I can provide you with a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.
-
A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes the information your insurance company needs to process a reimbursement claim. I'll provide one at your request after each session. You submit it directly to your insurance provider and they reimburse you according to your plan's out-of-network coverage.
-
I do offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots on a case-by-case basis. If cost is a concern please bring it up during our consultation call — I want to find a way to make this work if I can. If I'm not able to offer a sliding scale spot at the time you reach out I'm happy to connect you with other trusted providers in the area.
-
I offer both! I provide in-person sessions in San Clemente, CA. I also offer virtual therapy for clients anywhere in California via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform
-
Sessions are 50 minutes on a weekly basis. If this doesn’t work for you, let me know and we can discuss any barriers to try and find something that does!
-
I ask for at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. I understand life happens — if something comes up please just reach out as soon as you can and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

I typically start with a brief parent consultation to understand what's been going on, gather some background, and align on goals. From there I meet individually with your teen and we build from there.
I work in a way that respects your teen's privacy and autonomy — the therapy space belongs to them — while keeping you appropriately informed. We'll figure out together what that communication looks like for your family. For younger teens especially, occasional parent check-ins can be really valuable.
-
Yes, thoughtfully. I occasionally check in with parents with the teen's knowledge and consent. Teens are much more likely to open up and do meaningful work when they feel the therapy space is truly theirs — so I'm intentional about protecting that while still keeping parents in the loop in ways that feel collaborative rather than surveillance-like.
-
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients come in with a specific goal and feel ready to wrap up after a few months. Others find ongoing therapy valuable for continued growth and support. We'll revisit your goals regularly and you're always in charge of how long we work together.
-
I hear this a lot — and I take it seriously. A bad therapy experience can make it harder to try again, and that makes sense. The relationship with your therapist matters enormously. If something didn't work before I'd love to hear about it during our consultation call — it helps me understand what you need and whether I'm the right fit to try something different.

I typically have consultation slots available within a few days. Reach out through the contact form or book directly through this link and I'll get back to you quickly.
